Stanly County Family YMCA is sponsoring a basketball league for 3- to 8-year-olds.

Registration is open through Dec. 15.

The season will run from Jan. 7-Feb. 23, 2019.

The goal of this program is to teach the fundamentals of the sport in a safe and fun environment.

Teams will practice on Mondays or Thursdays and play games on Friday evenings or Saturday mornings.

Each team member will receive a T-shirt.

The cost is $20 for Y family members, $35 for Y youth members and $60 for potential members. Scholarships are available.
