Jennell Thompson Gobble, age 79 of Salisbury, NC passed away on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 in Select Specialty Hospital, Greensboro, NC.
Her funeral service will be at 2:00 PM Saturday, December 22, 2018 in the Stoney Fork Baptist Church in Mt. Gilead, NC. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Stanly Funeral & Cremation Care, Albemarle, NC.
Mrs. Gobble was born December 11, 1939 in Montgomery County, NC to the late Macy and Maggie Thompson and was a homemaker.
She was a member of the Stoney Fork Baptist Church where she was a former Sunday School Teacher and a member of the WMU.
Mrs. Gobble is married to Tommy L. Gobble of the home. Other survivors include a daughter, Sylvia Strickland of Mt. Gilead, NC, brother, Gary Thompson of Mt. Gilead, NC sister, Shirley Tucker of Albemarle, NC; two step-sons, Danny Gobble and Lucky Bill Gobble both of Salisbury, NC; one granddaughter, Amanda Cranford (Joe) of Mt. Gilead, NC, great-grandchildren Hayley Morton and Gavin Cranford.
One son Nathan Strickland preceded her death.
