Larry VanEarl Naylor

Larry VanEarl Naylor, 81, of Oakboro, passed away on Monday, January 14, 2019 at the Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis.
He was born on September 26, 1937 in Hartford, KS to the late Ervan and Mary Viola Switzer Naylor.
Larry worked as a Custodian for Cabarrus County until his retirement. He loved to Bowl and was a member of the City of Emporia Kansas bowling team.
Larry was a talented Marksman and he enjoyed fishing and everything about NASCAR, from going to races to watching it on TV. When Larry wasn’t bowling or watching NASCAR, he was spending time with his family whom he loved dearly and our beloved Myia.
In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by a Sister, Wanda Kay Creasey.
Larry is survived by a Sister, Karen Ann Glenn of Oakboro, NC; a son, Jeffrey (Donna) Naylor of NC; a grandson, Bryce Naylor of NC; a nephew, Dennis Pekala of NC; and a great-niece, Clarissa Pekala of Oakboro NC.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday January 26, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Oakboro United Methodist Church (405 N. Main St., Oakboro, NC).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Stanly County Humane Society, (2049 Badin Rd, Albemarle, NC 28001).
