South men stay in second in YVC, top West Montgomery

The South Stanly men’s basketball team stayed a game behind North Rowan (13-2, 8-0) for first place in the Yadkin Valley Conference standings with a 67-57 win Friday night at West Montgomery.
Jacorian Legrand and Tori Colson each scored 16 each to lead the Bulls (9-7, 7-1 YVC). Addison Tarlton also reached double figures for South with 10.
Terrell Baldwin led the Warriors (5-7, 2-6) with 19 and Q.J. Drake added 18.
South faces North Rowan Tuesday night in Spencer.
