West Stanly men set season mark for points in Friday road win

Despite having just seven players available, the West Stanly men’s basketball team set a season mark for points scored in a 95-61 win Friday.

Austin Medlin led three in double figures in points for West (9-8, 2-1 RRC) with 37, hitting 13-of-22 overall from the floor including 6-of-7 from the three-point arc. Hayden Greene added 21, shooting 10-of-13 along with eight rebounds, while Trevor Kelly had a double-double with 16 points and 11 boards. Riley Huneycutt led the Colts with seven assists as well.

Keyshon Ingram was top scorer for East Montgomery (4-11, 0-3) with 22, while Jarrett Cagle and Zrmodd Ellerbee each added 11.

The Colts host Anson County Tuesday night and travel to Mount Pleasant Friday.
