West women win at East Montgomery

The West Stanly women’s basketball team earned a 65-32 win Friday at East Montgomery, improving to 7-10 overall and 2-1 in the Rocky River Conference.

Addie Barbee came off the bench to lead three in double figures in points for West with 13. Dani Moss added 12, including nine in the first half, while Carmen Bishop added 11, including seven in the second quarter.

Leah Joyce led the Eagles (3-8, 0-2) with nine.

Friday’s margin of victory was the largest this season for the Colts and was the most West has scored in a game this season.

West hosts Anson County Tuesday then goes to Mount Pleasant Friday.
