Gray Stone men fall at home to West Montgomery

A rough third-quarter offensively for the Gray Stone men’s basketball team led to a 60-55 home conference loss Tuesday to the West Montgomery Warriors.

Alex McDow led Gray Stone (4-11, 2-7 YVC) with 20 points while Marshall Overcash added 12.

T.J. Parter paced the Warriors (6-7, 3-6) with 16 and Terrell Baldwin reached double figures with 15.

Gray Stone was outscored by 13 in the third period after leading 30-23 at halftime.

The win dropped the Knights a game behind the Warriors and Uwharrie Charter, who are both tied for fifth place in the conference standings.

Gray Stone travels to Christ the King Wednesday for a non-conference matchup then gets back to YVC play Friday at South Stanly (9-7, 7-2). The Bulls lost Tuesday night 79-56 to first place North Rowan.
