Albemarle women win eighth straight, top North Moore

The Albemarle women’s basketball team won its eighth straight game, improving to 18-1 on the season with a 69-52 home win over the North Moore Mustangs.
Armani Baldwin led three in double figures for the Bulldogs with 18 points including eight in a 26-point second period for the Bulldogs. Tameya Newton was 5-of-5 from the 3-point arc adding 15 points, while Zycoria Tillman added 13.
Nadia Brewer had a big night for the Mustangs (11-6, 6-4 YVC) with 38 points including 28 in the second half, scoring all but 10 of North Moore’s points over the final two quarters.
The Bulldogs travel to South Stanly Thursday and host West Montgomery Friday.
