After suffering a buzzer-beater loss to South Stanly earlier in the season, the North Stanly men’s basketball team went on the road Tuesday and evened the team’s season series with a 57-46 win.

Bryson Childress, who was named Tuesday to the North Carolina roster of the 2019 North Carolina Coaches Association All-Star Game, led the Comets (11-8, 8-4 YVC) with 23 points, while Nalik Veasley added 11.

Jaquez Cooke and Jacorian Legrande scored 15 each to lead South (13-9, 11-3).

North travels to East Rowan on Thursday for a non-conference game, then returns home Friday to host North Moore.

South has two more regular-season games; the Bulls travel to North Moore Tuesday, then wrap up the season Feb. 15 at Albemarle.
