West women win easily over East Montgomery

With an easy 60-15 win over East Montgomery on Tuesday night, the West Stanly women’s basketball team improves to 10-12 overall and 5-3 in the Rocky River Conference.
The Colts posted the team’s largest margin of victory for the season (45 points) and set a season mark for the fewest points allowed in a game (15). It was the fewest for a Colts women’s team since West limited Uwharrie Charter to 14 points on Nov. 20, 2014.
Kailey Furr led the Colts with 10 points as 10 players scored in the win for West. Ariana Collins was top scorer for East Montgomery (6-12, 2-6).
The Colts travel to Anson County (7-10, 6-2) on Friday.
