Mildred Louise Morton Archer

Mildred Louise Morton Archer, 90 years young, of League City, TX, and Albemarle, NC, passed away January 29, 2019.
She was born in Norwood, NC on September 12, 1928 to Clement David Morton and Carrie Mae Parker Morton.
Mildred was married for 65 years to Roy Kenneth Archer, who preceded her in death.
She is survived by her daughter, Pamela Louise Archer, and her husband, Simon Urbanic. Pamela and Simon were married on Mildred and Kenneth’s 50th Wedding Anniversary, January 13, 2001.
Mildred was preceded in death by her parents David and Carrie Mae Morton, her sisters, Norma Rebecca Kennington, and Betty Parker Poplin.
Mildred loved “Learning” and was an alumni of Wake Forest and the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill School of Pharmacy.
She was a beloved math and chemistry teacher at Norwood High School, South Stanly High School, and Albemarle Senior High School. She later worked as a Pharmacist at Medical Pharmacy in Albemarle for many years.
Memorials honoring Mildred Archer can be made to First Baptist Church of Albemarle, NC where she was a long time member.
