The North Stanly women’s basketball earned its third win in the past four games on Senior Night Friday with a 49-27 home win over the North Moore Mustangs.

Senior Camille Shelton led the Comets (5-13, 4-9 YVC) with 18 points, while freshman guard Lexi Goode added 10.

The win moved the Comets a half game ahead of Uwharrie Charter for seventh in the conference standings. The Comets go to West Montgomery on Tuesday, North Rowan on Wednesday and finish the regular season Friday at Gray Stone.
