The South men’s basketball showed a balanced attack with five in double figures in an easy 71-44 win Tuesday over the North Moore Mustangs.

Chandler Lowder led South Stanly (14-9, 12-3) with 20 points, 13 of which came in the first half. Jacorian Legrand added 14, while Jaquez Cooke and Tori Colson added 12 each. Addison Tarlton also scored 11 for the Bulls.

Jamlyn Johnson led the Mustangs (3-19, 3-12) with eight.

The Bulls went up by 40 with one minute left in the third quarter, forcing a running clock for the remainder of the game. South did not score in the fourth quarter, with the team’s reserves on the floor as the Mustangs scored 10 points.

South wraps up the regular season Friday night at Albemarle (14-9, 11-4). A loss for the Bulls would mean the two teams would finish tied for second place in the final YVC regular-season standings.
