Stanly CVB picks up conservation award

A Stanly County organization picked up an honor as Three Rivers Land Trust, formerly, The LandTrust for Central North Carolina, hosted its 3rd annual Conservation Awards on Feb. 8 at the Gateway Building in Salisbury.

Awardees were recognized for their continued support for Three Rivers Land Trust in their conservation mission.

Stanly County Convention and Visitor’s Bureau was awarded the Jason Walser Governmental Conservation Partner of the Year award.

The CVB supported many Land Trust projects over the years, and most recently partnered with Three Rivers Land Trust to bring the nationally recognized Outdoor Channel fishing show, “Major League Fishing,” to the Yadkin-Pee Dee watershed. CVB director Chris Lambert, Bob Remsburg and Jeff Irvin accepted the award.
