The No. 3-seeded West Stanly women’s basketball team moved to a game over the .500 mark in advancing to the semifinals of the RRC tournament with a 50-29 win Tuesday at home over sixth-seed Central Academy.

Raelee Furr led the Colts (13-12) with 14, while Carmen Bishop added 11.

Shannon Studer paced the Cougars (4-21) with 14 and Josie Studer added 10.

The Colts will take on third-seed Anson County (8-11) at 7 p.m. Thursday at Mount Pleasant. The finals of the tournament will be Friday.
