West Stanly got one key addition to its lineup Tuesday night in an 82-41 runaway win over Central Academy in the opening round of the Rocky River Conference men’s basketball tournament.

Senior guard Nick Parker returned for the Colts after missing 17 games with a shoulder injury to score 15 points for West (13-12).

Austin Medlin led the Colts with 21, including five makes from beyond the 3-point arc, and Brack Morgan added 16 for West. Ethan Conner scored 10 off the bench for the Colts.

Wyatt Brown paced the Cougars (2-23) with 14.

“We didn’t play with energy defensively at the start of the game, but picked it up early in the second half,” West coach John Thompson said. “It was good seeing (Parker) back out on the court. I’m happy for him to get a couple more games when we thought his high school career was over.”

The Colts will take on the hosts of the semifinals and finals of the RRC tourney, second-seed Mount Pleasant (20-4), on Thursday at 8:30 p.m.
