Gray Stone Day School will have the “Night of Knights” auction at 6 p.m. March 23 in The Commons at the school.

The auction features a sit-down dinner, vacation packages, unique experiences and lots of items donated by local businesses and families.

The funds raised will be used to support academics through course work as well as after-school competitions.

Many of the activities are offered through the North Carolina Association for Scholastic Activities. The funds will also support the full range of athletics and many social events at the school.

One of the primary uses of the funds will be to build a pavilion over the patio between the middle school and the high school. This area can be used by students during the day as a place for them to work on class assignments and online classes or as an outdoor classroom.

After school, it provides a place for students to wait for their ride home and be out of the weather.

“I am very excited about the possibility of providing this addition to our campus to enhance our students’ experience at school,” said Helen Nance, chief administrative officer at the school.

The cost of tickets is $45 for one and $80 for two. The ticket purchases are open to the public and can be made at www.anightofknights.com or at the school. Checks can be mailed to Gray Stone Day School at P.O. Box 650, Misenheimer, NC 28109. Tickets will not be sold at the door.
