North Stanly baseball wins at West Stanly, 5-1

The North Stanly baseball team went out of conference play Thursday night and improved to 6-1 on the season with a 5-1 road win at West Stanly (2-1).

Rhett Lowder went the distance on the mound for North walking one and striking out eight allowing one earned run on four hits. Cody Kidd took the loss for West.

Hunter Sells had an RBI double in the fourth while freshman Nic Melton added an RBI single in the inning.

Cody Naylor drove in West’s run in the bottom of the fourth on a two-out RBI single.
Dylan Eudy and Brody Lowder added RBI singles in the fifth.

North Stanly hosts North Rowan Tuesday while West Stanly goes to Forest Hills.
