Police search for robbery suspect

Albemarle Police continues to look for the person who robbed the State Employees Credit Union at 1600 N.C. Highway 24-27 Bypass West Monday afternoon.
Police report a while male wearing a camouflage, hooded Underarmor pullover sweatshirt, blue jeans and a dark-colored John Deere cap entered the SECU at 5:30 p.m. and demanded money.
He walked up to the teller and said he wanted to withdraw some money and that he had a gun, police say.
The teller put cash in an envelope and the suspect fled on foot behind the bank.
No injuries occurred, and there was no gun displayed during the robbery, police say.
