The cosmetology students at Stanly Community College, along with program instructors Linda Hatley, David Smith, Gena Trogdon, Tammy Coble and Kimberly Herrin, will host the annual cosmetology hair show at 6 p.m. April 25 in the Dennis Auditorium in the Kelley Building.

This event will highlight the latest trends and techniques in prom and special occasion hairstyles and make-up.

The public is invited and admission is free.

SCC encourages parents, family and friends to come out and support the students. Additionally, SCC would like to extend a special invitation to local salon professionals to attend the show and enjoy the entertainment.

“We are delighted to be able to highlight the talent and skills of our students to the local community at this fun-filled event. The students are very excited about the show. We hope this will open up possible career opportunities for them at salons and spas after graduation,” said Linda Hatley, SCC cosmetology instructor and team leader for the hair show.

SCC’s cosmetology programs provide a simulated salon environment that enables students to develop
manipulative skills. Coursework includes instruction in all phases of professional imaging, hair design,
chemical processes, skin care, nail care, multicultural practices, product knowledge, business/computer
principles and other selected topics.

Models are needed. For complete details, contact Linda Hatley at 704-991-0375 or lhatley7730@stanly.edu.
