Pfeiffer University is close to finding its next president.

The Pfeiffer University Board of Trustees created a search committee to find a new president and they have interviewed three candidates, Trustees Chairman Bob Brietz said.

Brietz said one of the candidates has stood out and that after the board meets Thursday night, a press release should be released Friday detailing who the new president will be.

“My goal has been not to go the interim route and get a full-time replacement in place,” Brietz said.

Pfeiffer’s current president, Dr. Colleen Perry Keith, will leave the university May 31 to become the president of Goldey-Beacom College in Wilmington, Del.
