Albemarle Police Department is seeking the public’s help in identifying a person who robbed a local convenience store Sunday night.

Around midnight, a white male entered Quik Check at 100 U.S. Highway 52 South pointing a handgun at the clerk and demanding money. Once the clerk gave him the money, the male left the store on foot toward Broome Street. The male was wearing a black hooded jacket with a tan or greenish colored gloves, blue jeans and white sneakers, police said.

No one was hurt during the incident.
