Two of Stanly’s current stars in the National Football League will again return home this summer to conduct a free youth football camp.

The Stanly County Elite Football camp for kids ages 5-14 will be June 29 starting at 8 a.m. The registration deadline for this free camp will be Monday at midnight.

Denico Autry of the Indianapolis Colts and R.J. Prince of the Pittsburgh Steelers will both return to Stanly this summer as part of the annual youth football camp at Albemarle High School’s football field.

Both said they were honored to be able to again conduct the camp and give back to the community.

Campers will receive a free backpack for participating including a camp T-shirt. Lunch will also be provided for participants.

The camp will take place, rain or shine, and participants are asked to come accordingly dressed for the weather.

Parents have also been asked to only register children if they are sure the child will be able to participate in the camp.
