The Norwood Business Association is getting ready for its second Norwood Fashion Show.

The show will be May 16 at 110 N. Main St.

Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. for vendor shopping. More than 15 local vendors are scheduled to attend. There will also be time for people to shop after the fashion show.

Dinner will be at 6:30 p.m. and the fashion show will start at 7. Five presenters, each wearing clothing from various local boutiques, will walk around the dinner tables showcasing their outfits so people can get close views of the clothing and accessories.

The presenters and vendors include businesses in Norwood, Albemarle, Troy and Mount Gilead, said Elizabeth Davis, vice chairwoman of the association.

Last year 100 people attended the fashion show. The business association expects around 130 people this year, Davis said.

Tickets are $25 per person and includes dinner, the ability to preview exclusive styles from local boutiques, access to vendor shopping and eligibility to win raffle prizes valued at $25 or more, Davis said. There will also be a wine bar.

Proceeds for the fashion show will go to supporting the business association.

“The goal of our fashion show is not only to host an event for the community and raise money for the Norwood Business Association, but we also want to give local vendors and businesses an opportunity to showcase themselves and gain exposure in Norwood,” Davis said.

Those who are interested in purchasing tickets can do so by contacting the organization at norwoodbusinessassociation@gmail.com or by calling event coordinator Sherry Bailey at 704-984-0087.
