Dr. Eric Johnsen and Dr. Steve Seltzer need help identifying physicians that have served in Stanly County throughout the years.

Information is needed to help with Johnsen and Seltzer with a talk they have planned for a Historical Society program on Aug. 21.

They have a list, but have little information about certain physicians.

These include J.G. Hall, F.E. Hartsell (Big Lick), Thomas Hathcock, V.L. Bigler, I.H. Hill, J.A. Laton, C.M. Lentz, George Leiby (Stanly County Health Department), O.D. King, A.F. Lapsley, I.M. Lilly, W.J. McLendon (Oakboro), J.K. Outlaw, J.H. Paschold, L.V. Dunlap, A.J. Shankle (New London, Civil War era), W.T. Shaver, B.T. Talley, J.G. Tuttle, D.P. Whitley, V.A. Whitley, William Young (Badin), E.C. Noel, Richard Anderson, “Jap” Anderson (son of Richard), Robert Fox (Health Department) and B.F. Cox.

Anyone knowing information is asked to call the Stanly County History Center at 704-986-3777.
