Given the Islamophobia which frequently pervades our media, it was gratifying to read such a positive story about the accomplishments of this energetic, gifted young woman.

It also was fortuitous that the piece appeared on Eid al-Fitr, which marks the end of the Islamic holy month of Ramadan.
