Miss Stanly County Fire Queen pageant sees large field of competitors

On Thursday, 11 young ladies will compete for the title of Miss Stanly County Fire Queen 2019.

Each contestant was chosen by their local fire department to represent them in this pageant.

This year Aquadale Volunteer Fire Department has chosen Joely Michelle Faulkner to represent their district. Joely is the 19-year-old daughter of Joseph and Jeanette Faulkner and is a student at Montgomery Community College.

Badin Volunteer Fire Department will be represented by Alyson Emily Argento. She is the 16-year-old daughter of Melissa Smith.

Kylie Nicole Hathcock will represent Bethany Volunteer Fire Department. Kylie is the 17-year-old daughter of Angie and Buster Hathcock and is a student at Gray Stone Day School.

Representing Eastside Volunteer Fire Department is Briana Nichole Perdue. She is the 17-year-old daughter of Amanda and Gary Perdue. In the fall, Briana will attend Wingate University.

Graci Rena Hudson will represent Endy Volunteer Fire Department. She is the 17-year-old daughter of Ronald and Connie Hudson. Graci is a recent graduate of Stanly Early College and Stanly Community College.

New London Volunteer Fire Department will be represented by Kathleen Ivory White. She is the 18-year-old daughter of Jessica White. She plans to attend Stanly Community College in the fall.

Destiny Sasser has been chosen to represent Norwood Center Rural Volunteer Fire Department. Destiny is the 18-year-old daughter of Brian Cauble, Christy Cauble and Danny Gardner. She will attend Pfeiffer University in the fall.

Representing Oakboro Volunteer Fire Department is Halee Brooke Davis. She is the 17-year-old daughter of Dwayne and Crystal Davis. Halee attends high school at Branch Christian Academy.

Shelby DeLaine Hinson will represent Ridgecrest Volunteer Fire Department. She is the 16-year-old daughter of Michael Hinson and Lisa Lathe and is a student at West Stanly High School.

Southside Volunteer Fire Department is represented by Alexis Kay Faulkner. Alexis is the 18-year-old daughter of Cameron Faulkner and Shannon Harkey. In the fall, she will attend Wingate University.

West Stanly Volunteer Fire Department has chosen Sarah Coble as its representative. Sarah is the 16-year-old daughter of Tim and Amanda Coble. She is a student at West Stanly High School.

All contestants will formally introduce themselves on Saturday during the Little Miss Fourth of July Pageant, which begins at 6 p.m. on the Union Power Stage directly behind Oakboro Fire Department.

On July 4, contestants will ride in the Oakboro Fourth of July Parade with their respective fire departments.

The Miss Stanly County Fire Queen Pageant will take place on the Union Power Stage after the parade.
