New York Times best-selling author to speak at dinner

The Friends of the Stanly County Public Library will feature New York Times best-selling author Diane Chamberlain at its author dinner at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 26 at Tiffany’s at the Boardroom, 135 W. Main St., Albemarle.
Reservations are $40 and include a dinner and an autographed book, “The Dream Daughter.”

Chamberlain is the author of 26 novels. Her books, frequently set in North Carolina, are stories about family love, compassion and forgiveness with a strong element of mystery and suspense.
Her most recent novel, “The Dream Daughter,” which is set in the Outer Banks, New Jersey and New York City, is the story of a woman who will go to unimaginable lengths to save the life of her child.
