Bridge to Recovery, an addiction treatment center based in Monroe, will have a banquet next month to give an update on how their services have impacted the residents of Stanly County. 

Bridge to Recovery offers four main services: family intervention, short-term pre-treatment sober housing, day treatment and residential treatment. It has housed more than 2,000 people and helped relocate thousands more. 

Bridge to Recovery has been helping people fight addictions since 2011. Shortly after it opened its first center in Monroe, it built a center in Stanfield designated to help women in the community. A few years after, it built a third treatment center. 

“We’ll be updating the folks who have been supportive of the bridge and made it possible,” said Jim Allred, founder of the organization. 

The event will be formal, with around 250 people expected to attend. The banquet will be at 6 p.m. Sept 14 at Love’s Grove United Methodist Church in Stanfield.
