Stanly County commissioners will have a public hearing at 6 p.m. Sept. 9 in the Commissioners Meeting Room regarding a proposed economic incentive agreement between the county and an existing powder coating and painting service provider in Norwood.
The proposed agreement would result in a five-year business development grant between the county and the company.
The company will invest an estimated $200,000 and create approximately 10 new jobs, according to the county.
County Manager Andy Lucas said he will not reveal the name of the company until the tax incentive is approved by the commissioners and the agreement is executed.
