Morgan impaired boating court case continued to October

Ashley Morgan, vice chairman of the Stanly County Board of Commissioners, had his court case continued a second time on Tuesday.

Previously, Morgan’s case was scheduled to be heard in August but it was continued to this month. His new court date will be Oct. 8.

Morgan was charged in June with a misdemeanor for boating while intoxicated.

He has served as a commissioner since December 2016.
