Gray Stone soccer shuts out Albemarle

The recent results of the men’s soccer series between Albemarle and Gray Stone have been heavily in favor of the Knights in the win column.

In the past six seasons, Gray Stone has gone 14-2 versus the Bulldogs, with the trend continuing Monday night.

The Knights scored early and never trailed in a 7-0 win on Albemarle’s home field.

Andrew Boehler and Edison Kahn led the Knights (6-1-1, 4-0 YVC) with two goals each while Connor Morin added a goal and an assist.

Judson Bullard and Marshall Overcash each added goals while Luke Hill, Quentin Hippert, David Almond and Sammy Hatley each had one assist.

The Knights host West Rowan Thursday for a non-conference matchup.

Albemarle (3-3, 2-3) returns home Monday to host South Stanly.
