The North Stanly volleyball team improved to 14-0 on the season and 9-0 in Yadkin Valley Conference play with a 3-0 win Wednesday at Albemarle.

Scores of the match were 25-11, 25-8 and 25-7.

Nicole Lowder led the Comets with 10 kills while Taegan Lowder added five kills and Merris Talbert had four along with a team-high nine aces.

Payton Landis led North with 12 assists and added seven service aces.

Somajhe Porter had five kills to lead the attack for the Bulldogs (0-14, 0-10) while Kiah Smith and Promise Porter each added a kill.

This week, North Stanly hosts Montgomery Central (5-9) in a non-conference matchup Monday then hosts North Rowan Tuesday and Uwharrie Charter Thursday.

North Stanly will also play at West Stanly Saturday afternoon at 2:30 p.m.
