Albemarle Police Department is investigating a Monday night shooting.

While patrolling Arey Avenue, officers were notified of a man being shot. Officers gave first aid to Richard Allen Little, 67, until the fire department and Stanly County EMS arrived, a press release revealed.

The department is trying to learn where Little was shot.

He was taken to the hospital and placed under heavy sedation with non-
life-threaten injuries, officials said.
