North Stanly stays in second in YVC football standings

The North Stanly Comets went on the road Friday night and maintained second place in the Yadkin Valley Conference standings with a 43-0 road win over the North Moore Mustangs (3-6, 1-4 YVC).
All of the touchdowns for the Comets (5-5, 4-1 YVC) came in the first half. Dylan Eudy led North Stanly with two rushing touchdowns while Christian Barber, Chamar Watkins, Kyree Dykes and Cooper Hogan scored TDs on the ground.
The Comets posted the team’s third shutout of the season while also getting a safety in the game.
North Stanly travels to South Stanly (5-5, 3-2) Friday night. A win for the Comets would secure second place outright while the Bulls could pull into a tie with the Comets for second with a victory and give South the head-to-head tiebreaker.
