North Stanly students and staff lined the hallways and patio with applause and cheers as the veterans entered the media center for a delightful breakfast Nov. 8.

Principal Danny Poplin welcomed the veterans and guests, acknowledging each branch of service after the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag.

Entertainment was led by Suzanne Holshouser, singing “God Bless the U.S.A.,” followed by the band playing patriotic selections and the chorus singing.

This was an awesome, emotional expression of love and appreciation shown by the entire school.

Hats off to Danny Poplin and the student body for an outstanding tribute honoring our local veterans.

We are proud to be Americans.
