Albemarle men even YVC mark, topple North Moore
The Albemarle men’s basketball team ended a six-game losing streak and earned the team’s first conference win of the season Tuesday night at home over North Moore, 59-52.
Ali Currie And Nhazer Little each had 16 points to lead the Bulldogs (4-6, 2-2 YVC) while M.J. Raye added 14 points. Camarie McNeill just missed double figures for Albemarle finishing with eight points.
“We had an off shooting night but were able to make plays as a team to come away with the win,” Albemarle head coach Marc Raye said.
“I’m not happy with the way we won but I’m happy to get away with the win. We will continue to get better at getting better.”
The Bulldogs host West Stanly (6-3) Thursday. Albemarle then gets back to Yadkin Valley Conference play Friday night at home against Chatham Central.
