The Albemarle Bulldogs got another big night from Shada Wall in a 56-44 home Thursday over West Stanly.
Shada Wall poured in 27 points shooting 7-of-18 from the field including 3-of-9 on 3-pointers and hit 10-of-15 foul shots.

Wall, who missed games early in the season with an injury, has led the Bulldogs in points for two games in a row, the team’s first two wins of the season.

Kristin McLendon added 16 points (2-6) as Albemarle won the team’s first non-conference game Thursday.

Maryn Mauldin and Carmen Bishop scored 14 each to lead the Colts (5-5).

Albemarle head coach Eric Davis said the Bulldogs rebounded better and forced West into 28 turnovers.

“Defensively we are getting after a little better and playing that defense we are accustomed to playing,” Davis said.
