Bulls even YVC mark with win at South Davidson

South Stanly’s men’s basketball team improved to 5-3 overall and 2-2 in the Yadkin Valley Conference with a 75-50 road win Friday at South Davidson.
Eight players scored for the Bulls led by Senior Justin Gaddy with 22 points while Addison Tarlton added 14 points. Jaquez Cooke scored 13 and Brandon Teller came of the bench to score 12 points.
Thomas Ellington led South Davidson (1-7, 1-3) with 19 points while Dylan DeLattre added 17 points.
Leading 31-24 at halftime, the Bulls outscored South Davidson 44-26 in the second half.
Bulls head coach Sean Whitley said his team stepped up defensively in the second half and shared the ball well on offense.
South Stanly takes on Sun Valley (6-6) Friday with the game scheduled to start at 4:30 p.m in the opening round of the Laurie Ann Cruse Christmas Classic hosted by Mount Pleasant.
