At 7:08 p.m. Wednesday, a 2005 White Honda Accord traveling north on Flint Ridge Road crossed left of center, struck a ditch and collided with a tree, according to Highway Patrol Trooper W.P. Efird.

The driver, Brandi Hodge, 35, from Kannapolis, was airlifted to Atrium Health in Charlotte. Efird said she was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident. He does not know her current condition.

Charges are still pending, Efird said.
