North Rowan’s 6-foot-10 sophomore Brandon White asserted himself in a 70-62 Yadkin Valley Conference home win Friday night against Albemarle. White had a career-best 30 points and 14 rebounds. He had seven dunks.

Zay Davis added 12 points for the Cavaliers (10-4, 8-0), who completed a sweep of Albemarle and are alone in first place in the Yadkin Valley Conference.

Kendrell Goodes and Denerio Robinson scored nine each.

MJ Raye scored 22 for the Bulldogs (6-9, 4-4) while Antonio Burns added 11.

Albemarle hosts Uwharrie Charter (5-7, 3-4) Tuesday while North Rowan travels to South Stanly (10-5, 5-2).
