Albemarle Police has arrested a woman after a report of statutory sex offense with a child under 15.

Peggy Alease Thomas was arrested Jan. 15 after a report was filed the day before with the Stanly County Sheriff’s Office.
She has been charged with two counts of statutory sex offense with a child less than 15 years of age.
She was arrested in Davidson County and has a first court date Monday.
