Members of The Uwharrie Players celebrated their efforts over the last year with an awards banquet Saturday night at First Presbyterian Church in Albemarle.
Awards were presented for:
• Favorite Show — “Chitty Chitty Bang Bang” — Director Gina Clarke;
• Best Actor — Jon Bowlby (“Let Him Sleep ‘til it’s Time For His Funeral”) and Tyler Poplin (“Chitty Chitty Bang Bang”) (Tie);
• Best Actress — Dorothy Hart (“Chitty Chitty Bang Bang”);
• People’s Choice Award for “Doyle & Debbie” — Kym Baysinger;
• Best Supporting Actor — Zac Baker (“Chitty Chitty Bang Bang”);
• Best Supporting Actress — Macy Preslar (“Chitty Chitty Bang Bang”);
• Favorite Adult Ensemble Member — Tammi Remsburg and Mary Ann Gantt (Tie);
• Favorite Youth Ensemble Member — Piper Treptow;
• People’s Choice Award for “Chitty Chitty Bang Bang” — Macy Preslar;
