2 law offices burn in Albemarle

The law office buildings of Charles Parnell and Mark Lowder in Albemarle caught fire before dawn Sunday morning.
Firefighters exit the back of the Parnell law office Sunday morning.
Firefighters were working to contain the fire at the office of Parnell and Scales, at 200 S. Second St., when they noticed the building of Lowder, at 120 King Ave., was also on fire, according to eyewitnesses at the scene.
Besides the Parnell office in the foreground, the office of Mark Lowder, next to the Albemarle Sweet Shop, also caught fire Sunday morning. Both fires are trying to be contained and are under investigation.

The fire scene is right across from the Stanly County Courthouse in downtown Albemarle.
