Stanly County Gymnastics girls’ teams open season at Furman

The Stanly County Gymnastics (SCG) Girls Competitive Team participated in their first competition of the season in Greenville, South Carolina at the recent Furman Classic.
The girls competed against several North and South Carolina teams and won both individual and team awards.
In the Bronze division, Cherina Noel placed first all-around in her age group with a 37.725. She was recognized as the highest scoring all-around gymnast of all the age groups in her session and received a special award. In addition to this achievement Noel placed first on bars with a 9.575 and second on floor with a 9.3.
Ashlin Horne placed second all-around in her age group with a 37.65. She placed first on vault with a 9.425 and second on beam with a 9.6.
Brianna Luong placed third all-around in her age group with a 37.4. She placed first on floor with a 9.45 and third on vault with a 9.275.
Ashley Deese placed first all-around in her age group with a 37.125. She placed first on vault with a 9.7 and first on beam with a 9.4.
Donna Gould placed first all-around in her age group with a 37.075. She placed first on vault with a 9.6 and first on floor with a 9.35.
Jaquelin Ferrer placed fourth all-around in her age group with a 36.425. She placed third on bars with a 9.45 and third on floor with a 9.175.
Ella Aldridge placed fourth all-around in her age group with a 36.35. She placed third on vault with a 9.15 and fourth on bars with a 9.225.
Garrette Miller placed fourth all-around in her age group with a 36.3. She placed second on vault with a 9.25 and third on vars with a 9.15.
Avery Isenhour placed fifth all-around with a 36.275. She placed first on beam with a 9.3 and third on floor with a 9.2.
Trinity Austin placed first all-around in her age group with a 36.25. She placed first on floor with a 9.325 and third on bars with a 9.05.
Kyndall Almond medaled in the all-around for her age group with a 35.9. She placed first on beam with a 9.625 and fifth on vault with a 9.0.
Mikaela Little medaled in the all-around for her age group with a 35.4. She medaled on vault with a 9.05 and on floor with an 8.825.
Avery Cooke placed fourth in the all-around for her age group with a 35.15. She placed second on beam with a 9.15 and fifth on vault with a 9.025.
Alise Wall medaled in the all-around for her age group with a 34.9. She placed second on floor with an 8.9 and scored an 8.85 on vault and bars.
The SCG Bronze team placed first in the team competition with contributing scores from Almond, Deese, Horne, Luong, Noel, Ferrer and Gould.
In the Silver division, Jade Huneycutt placed first all-around in her age group with a 37.925. She placed first on bars with a 9.8 and third on vault with a 9.425.
Brooklyn Jarrell placed second all-around in her age group with a 37.85. She placed first on floor with a 9.6 and second on bars with a 9.6.
Maci Bailey placed first all-around in her age group with a 37.75. She placed first on bars with a 9.675 and second on floor with a 9.25.
Marley Cox placed first all-around in her age group with a 37.75. She placed first on beam with a 9.575 and first on floor with a 9.45.
Maddy Rose Warner placed second all-around in her age group with a 37.625. She placed second on vault with a 9.525 and second on floor with a 9.45.
Elin Bowers placed second all-around in her age group with a 37.5. She placed second on vault with a 9.525 and second on bars with a 9.45.
Camdyn Plyler placed third all-around in her age group with a 37.475. She placed first on beam with a 9.55 and fifth on vault with a 9.35.
Sophie Poplin placed third all-around in her age group with a 37.325. She placed first on floor with a 9.55 and second on bars with a 9.55.
Maddie Crump placed fourth all-around in her age group with a 37.25. She placed second on beam with a 9.525 and fourth on vault with a 9.475.
Lauren Gibson placed fifth all-around in her age group with a 37. She placed second on floor with a 9.45 and third on bars with a 9.5.
Blake Howell placed fifth all-around in her age group with a 36.775. She placed first on floor with a 9.3 and medaled on bars with a 9.25.
Katelyn Kendall medaled in the all-around for her age group with a 36.775. She medaled on bars with a 9.375 and on floor with a 9.3
Mallory Varner medaled in the all-around for her age group with a 36.5. She placed second on floor with a 9.45 and medaled on bars with a 9.2.
Ansley Leslie medaled in the all-around for her age group with a 36.425. She placed second on vault with a 9.45 and medaled on beam with a 9.125.
Journee Dunlap medaled in the all-around for her age group with a 36.35. She medaled on vault with a 9.325 and on bars with a 9.175.
Lillian Carter medaled in the all-around for her age group with a 36.3. She placed fifth on vault with a 9.3 and medaled on beam with a 9.15.
Skylar Leathers placed first all-around in her age group with a 36. She placed third on bars with a 9.075 and third on beam with an 8.95.
Nicole Magana medaled in the all-around in her age group with a 35.5. She scored an 8.975 on vault and an 8.85 on bars and beam.
The SCG Silver team placed first in the team competition with contributing scores from Bailey, Bowers, Cox, Crump, Gibson, Huneycutt, Jarrell, Plyler, Poplin, Varner and Warner.
In the Gold division, Ella Cumming placed first all-around in her age group with a 37.85. She was recognized as the highest scoring all-around gymnast of all the age groups in her session and received a special award. In addition to this achievement Cumming placed first on bars with a 9.8 and first on floor with a 9.8.
Kaylee Hernandez placed first all-around in her age group with a 37.275. She placed first on bars with a 9.75 and first on vault with a 9.5.
Jatelynne Lee placed third all-around in her age group with a 37.175. She placed second on vault with a 9.3 and second on beam with a 9.25.
Cadyn Ritchie placed first all-around in her age group with a 37.125. She placed first on bars with a 9.7 and third on floor with a 9.4.
Campbell Whitley placed second all-around in her age group with a 36.625. She placed first on floor with a 9.45 and second on beam with a 9.4.
Ellie Russell placed third all-around in her age group with a 36.6. She placed first on floor with a 9.55 and third on vault with a 9.05.
Kenslie Little placed third all-around in her age group with a 36.35. She placed second on vault with a 9.05 and third on beam with a 9.
Trinity Robinson placed fourth all-around in her age group with a 35.7. She placed fourth on floor with a 9.3 and fourth on vault with an 8.875.
Veronica Crist medaled in the all-around for her age group with a 35.6. She medaled on bars with a 9.15 and on floor with a 9.325.
Emily Deese medaled in the all-around for her age group with a 35.25. She placed second on bars with 9.325 and fifth on beam with an 8.8.
Leslie Hatley medaled in the all-around for her age group with a 34.85. She placed fourth on floor with a 9.325 and medaled on beam with an 8.725.
The SCG Gold team placed first in the team competition with contributing scores from Cumming, Hernandez, Lee, Whitley, Ritchie and Russell.
In the Platinum division, Ava Singletary placed first all-around in her age group with a 37.3. She placed first on vault with a 9.375 and second on bars with 9.3.
Kayden Eudy placed third all-around in her age group with a 36.925. She placed first on floor with a 9.85 and second on beam with a 9.55.
Lauren Jones placed third all-around in her age group with a 36.25. She placed first on bars with a 9.3 and second on vault with a 9.25.
The SCG Platinum team placed third in the team competition with contributing scores from Eudy, Jones and Singletary.
In the Level 7 division, Sheridan Drew placed second all-around in her age group with a 36.775. She placed second on bars with a 9.45 and second on floor with a 9.35.
Mya Madaris medaled in the all-around with a 34.275. She placed second on beam with a 9.175 and second on floor with a 9.4.
All of the SCG Girls qualified to the North Carolina State Championships by surpassing the required all-around scores in their respective levels.
