With damaging winds, storms and potentially tornadoes predicting to hit Stanly County this afternoon, SCS will not be releasing early, as was planned, according to a recent post on the school system’s website.

Parents and visitors are invited into the schools for shelter. If parents want take their child out of school, they must sign the child out.

Buses will not be deployed later in the day due to the adverse weather conditions.
