SCS announces early release times due to predicted high winds, rain

After speaking with local emergency officials this morning, Stanly County Schools has decided to release students two hours early today due to predicted high winds and severe rain. The announcement was posted on the school’s website. All school activities are also canceled. Here are the release times:

–Early start elementary schools will release at 12:10 p.m.

–Late start elementary schools will release at 1:40 p.m.

–Early Colleges and Stanly Academy will release at 12:30 p.m.

–Traditional middle schools will release at 12:55 p.m.

–All traditional high schools will release at 1:05 p.m.
