Police seize firearms, drugs, make arrest

In conjunction with the search warrants that were executed Feb. 21, the Albemarle Police Department conducted another search warrant at 386 Park Road in Albemarle.

Investigators seized 11 firearms, two of which were reported stolen, police said.

Also seized were illegal narcotics and $19,246 from the home.

Arrested was Octavius Demond Crump of 386 Park Road, Albemarle. He was charged with felonious possession with intent to sell and deliver illegal narcotics within 1,000 feet of a school, two counts of felony possession of a stolen firearm, felony possession of a firearm by a felon, felony
maintaining a dwelling for keeping and selling controlled substance and two counts of felony possession with intent to sell and deliver illegal narcotics.

Crump received a $50,000 secured bond and his next court date is scheduled for March 9.
