At 8:41 p.m. Feb. 27, Albemarle Police Department officers responded to an assault report at the Magistrate’s Office at 126 S. Third St., Albemarle.

Upon arrival, officers learned of a stabbing victim that was at Atrium Health Stanly that was
involved in the same incident.

After further investigation, detectives we able to determine that all parties involved in the
altercation agreed to meet at Rock Creek Park at 110 Rock Creek Dr. to settle their differences.

Detectives also obtained warrants for arrest on Daniel Mark Medlin, 31, of Albemarle for assault with a deadly weapon with the intent to kill inflicting serious injury. Also, warrants were issued for simple affray for Christian Swayne Bair, 18, of Albemarle, and Kevin Ray Lundy, 27, of Albemarle.
