In response to COVID-19, until further notice, City of Albemarle Public Utilities is temporarily suspending all utility account disconnects due to non-payment of COA Utilities bills.

During this time, all customers will have access to electricity and clean and safe water for drinking and practicing good overall hygiene.

Customers will continue to accrue water, sewer, solid waste, recycling and electric charges during this time and they will still be responsible for payment of their total utility bills. Late charges will still be applied; re-connection fees will not be applied.

The City urges utility customers to make regular, appropriate payments to avoid a large past due accrual on their accounts.

City of Albemarle is encouraging utility customers to pay online, by phone or through the drive-through at City Hall. To access online payments visit, https://ipn.paymentus.com/cp/canc; to pay by phone call 1-844-203-8267.
